Well to date May exacty hasn't been a great 'month'. It sorta started off well with me in Brisbane, finishing off the BDA's Eco-Smart training the day before, unfortunately things had deteriorated during the night... my left leg was severvely swollen and it'd looked like I had dipped my leg in red food colouring... for the first time in my life I wasn't looking forward to flying but I made it home where my darling MBH organized an after hours doctor to visit who immediately sent me packing to the emergency department of the hospital. OK Sat May 2 arrives with me having brekkie in the emergency dept whilst waiting to be delivered to my room for the next ??? days After spending a few days here, with the wonderful doctors lancing my 'postules' on my leg, the pain helped partially by the meds a surprise visitor appeared... and man what a spirit-lifter :) Whilst I was trying to type up some minutes, who should appear near the end of my bed... none other than ...
Continuing on from my last post on this issue way back in December 2015, my cancer commonly known as the "lazy cancer", officially titled Nodular Lymphocyte Predominant Hodgkin lymphoma (NLPHL) , is generally considered to be a indolent cancer type has decided once again to have a "rebellious teenager-like outburst". This time, it has occurred in the mediastinum region - which is the area located between the lungs which contains the heart, esophagus, trachea, cardiac nerves, and other juicy bits... My lymphona is currently squeezing/compressing my esophagus, making swallowing food extremely difficult at times. I'm scheduled to get another 3 location tattoos, to enable easier targeting for the radiation therapy treatment planned over approximately four weeks. Staying positive... it'll be back to normal soon enough...
With the upcoming federal election here in August just thought you all should know about the Building Australia Party … PARTY OBJECTIVES To make housing more affordable. Harmonise infrastructure levies throughout the State. Establishment of an Industry-based Workers Compensation Scheme. Reduce unnecessary planning delays which increases building costs. Council codes to be the rules, if plans comply, then approval to be granted. To harmonise DCP’s, LEP’s & Council submissions across the whole of the State. Bring back commonsense into government at all levels, local, state & federal. Simplify Home Owners Warranty Insurance so it is understood by all parties involved. Encourage government to establish viable Traineeships & Apprenticeships for our youth. Licencing & Registration to be a recognition of skills, not just a form of consumer protection. Reduce needless overregulation through the establishment of an Independent Building Commission. DO YOUR PAR...
