Sneak Peek

I know what I'll be doing this weekend… studying the #AU2010 and AU Virtual Class catalogue which has been uploaded to the AU Online website. "To help you plan and optimize your AU 2010 experience, take a look at the complete AU 2010 Conference and AU Virtual class catalogs now. All conference classes are in English and are alphabetized, but the AU Virtual classes are organized first by language—English, Spanish, Portuguese—and within those sections alphabetically. These catalogs are preliminary and are still subject to change." Don't forget, if you're an AU Online member, you can register and reserve classes for #AU2010 conference on September 7 - one week earlier than the general public… how cool is that!!!

Beside the Cursor...: Sketchup Can NOW be used for Energy Analysis?#links This interesting article as reported by fellow AUGI Board Member, Richard Binning was just one of many applications discussed at the recent ABSA conference. I just wonder how soon the analysis will be useful for Australian conditions. This application may just be the "kick-start" for australian-ized "plugsins" to AccuRate and BERS Pro . Likewise I'll have to wait a bit longer yet to see what is in store for Revit Architecture and Autodesk Ecotect - hopefully all will be revealed at Autodesk University 2008 (AU2008).

Autodesk University 2008 - Registration

Well I'm finally sorted out my classes at this years' premier event - Autodesk University . I'm particularly looking forward to the sustainability classes, namely: Sustainablilty Tools for Revit® Architecture: The IES Sustainability Toolkit Plug-in Revit® Architecture: LEEDing the Way ; and the one I'm particularly looking forward to is Practical Sustainable Design Workflows with Ecotect® and Revit® It'll be interesting how I can incorporate any of these these tools into my design practice... Only a few months to wait... :)
