Wow, its been a while since I posted anything... my bad.  So a brief summary what's been happening since...

BDA National Conference 2012

Held in april at the national maritime museum, darling harbour, nsw whilst numbers were a bit down, it was great to catch up with "old" friends from around the country. this year the conference featured pecha kucha styled presentations, that is a format that is based on 20 images x 20 seconds per image - its a format that makes presentations concise and keeps things moving... there was even one from yours truly on all things - bladams wine cellar :)

Revit Technology Conference, aka RTC AUS 2012
Held in May at the Novotel Resort, Wollongong. What a great conference, this time participating as a Sponsor. I had the privilege to go and represent IMAGINiT Technologies on their trade booth and as principle sponsor of the gala dinner on Saturday evening.

Some interesting snippets of information learnt during the conference…
1.  It was here I learnt about how Archi-CAD came into play
2. Jim Balding gave an excellent presentation on mobile apps, where he did the whole presentation on his iPad - great work Jim!
3. Definitely on of the highlights of the RTC events is the session named "Glorious Gadgets" where Wesley Benn, Chris Needham & Jim Balding demo'd some interesting "gadgets" like the 3D scanners and optocopter - great stuff guys… very entertaining

Certainly of one the strangest things overheard at RTCAUS trade display area…
"we don't have Revit on our laptops to show you that product..."

In 2013, RTC Australasia departs from its home shores of oz to the bustling metropolis of downtown Auckland, New Zealand.

Two great colleagues at IMAGINiT, Andrew Cooper & Evan Dalziel
